Since 2003, Anaura has been playing catchy, guitar-driven rock that is familiar, and yet sounds all their own. With their latest release “All The Secrets You Know”, this San Francisco based three-piece dark pop band has continued to hone their sound by offering a brand of accessible indie rock with story-like lyrics, shameless charm, and jaded hooks.
At the age of 6, Alex Hillmer made his first guitar in his Omie's woodshed in Holland. With influences ranging from Ratt to the Smiths, Alex crafts his riffs and lyrics in a way that brings together complex instrumentation with a life experienced worldwide.
Josh Manion’s percussive life began with pots, pans, and automobile headrests. Since then, Josh has been blessed to work with some of the best drummers in jazz and rock to allow him to develop his syncopated style. Growing up listening to the Beach Boys and Fleetwood Mac has given Josh a unique ability to layer harmonies and bring the sound of Anaura together.
With their new release, Anaura is excited to continue to play throughout California and abroad with smiles on their faces and songs in their hearts.
